DAZN SECURES GLOBAL RIGHTS TO BROADCAST THE ESKOOTR CHAMPIONSHIP

  • DAZN to broaden its live sport offering for fans, securing the rights to broadcast the eSkootr Championship on its global streaming service 
  • Six events will be made available to DAZN subscribers globally, across most of its 200+ countries and territories, as part of a non-exclusive deal
  • The first event will be broadcast on DAZN live from London on Saturday 14 May 2022

DAZN Group, the leading global sports entertainment company, has secured the rights to broadcast the eSkootr Championship, the world’s first electric scooter racing series, on DAZN globally, joining the line-up of sports available on the platform.

The deal will see DAZN expand its sport offering for fans by broadcasting the Championship to its 200+ countries and territories globally (excluding Australia and Brazil). The non-exclusive season-long agreement sees DAZN broadcasting all six events, which take place from May until October.

DAZN will live stream each race day event and feature live footage and highlights on its platform. The eSkootr Championship will be available to DAZN subscribers, with the first broadcasted event taking place in London on 14 May 2022. The series will take place in locations across the world, including the UK, Switzerland, France, Spain, Italy and America, with former speed skater Elise Christie, British BMX rider Tre Whyte and Olympic bronze medallist snowboarder Billy Morgan amongst the riders selected.

The eSkootr Championship joins DAZN’s premium portfolio of live sports and original programming, including the world’s biggest leagues and competitions such as UEFA Champions League, UEFA Women’s Champions League, Bundesliga, LaLiga, Serie A, J.League and Matchroom Boxing.
