Distribution Deals

LONDON, 30 May 2024 – DAZN, the world’s leading sports entertainment platform, today announces that the DAZN app is now live on Sky UK’s platforms – Sky Q, Sky Glass and Sky Stream. Sitting alongside other streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ in the app section of Sky’s UI, it is even easier for DAZN’s UK and Republic of Ireland customers to access great sports content.

Sky customers are able to sign up to DAZN’s service on Sky Q, Sky Glass and Sky Stream, giving access to a huge range of sports content through a range of flexible and accessible price plans – including DAZN’s ever-expanding portfolio of free live and VOD content. This includes an amazing roster of top-quality boxing – including Saturday night’s boxing PPV mega-event, ‘5 vs 5’ – and MMA matchups, the UEFA Women’s Champions League, Ironman, Saudi Pro League and a host of other high-octane sports content. In addition, a host of other sports entertainment services will be available, including betting and gaming, e-commerce, interactive and social media. Once subscribed, DAZN’s app will be available across multiple devices, including mobile, tablet, smart TVs and PCs.

Shay Segev, DAZN Group CEO, said: “This is excellent news for both DAZN and Sky customers. It makes it even easier to access the DAZN app in the UK and Ireland. We are the global home of boxing – more than 150 fights across 2024 alone – and combat sports, and women’s football as well as the Saudi Pro League, Ironman and much more. The app is live on Sky for our boxing PPV mega event, 5 vs 5, which sees the best fighters from Matchroom and Queensbury going head-to-head. DAZN is growing rapidly and constantly investing in new content and technology, so it’s the perfect time for our service to be available in app form across Sky devices.

“DAZN’s distribution strategy is to be as accessible to as many sports fans as possible, and Sky’s great technology through Sky Q, Sky Glass and Sky Stream, will help us get into more homes across the UK and Ireland, so even more people can discover the sports entertainment universe we are creating.”

Already pre-installed on Sky devices in Italy, this deal underlines DAZN’s commitment to making the platform accessible for all audiences. This deal also builds on existing strong relationships with key partners in European markets, whose devices already account for 18% of viewership on German and Italian Living Room devices.

Notes to Editors:

5v5 – Deontay Wilder headlines a blockbuster event as top British promoters Frank Warren of Queensbury and Eddie Hearn of Matchroom compete for bragging rights and one-upmanship in their long-running feud. Just weeks after Oleksandr Usyk became the undisputed heavyweight champion, the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh is set for another massive event. On June 1, 2024, five fighters from each promotional company will clash across four weight classes, promising drama and impressive bouts. The action kicks off at 7pm BST, 9pm local time, and 2pm ET. Don’t miss a spectacular night of boxing available on Sky, through the DAZN app.
