DAZN’S NFT MARKETPLACE GOES LIVE IN JAPAN WITH J.LEAGUE
•DAZN Group partnered with Japanese social media network Mixi to launch a sports-themed non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace, DAZN MOMENTS.
•The first NFT collection will be released today, 24 March 2022, and will feature the best sporting moments from 2021-2022 season of J.League, Japan’s premier football league.
•The launch of DAZN MOMENTS is part of the Group’s wider strategy to offer fans richer and more diverse ways to engage with the sport they love.
LONDON, 24 MARCH 2022 – DAZN Group, the leading global sports entertainment company, has unveiled its first NFT collections to be released in Japan on its DAZN MOMENTS marketplace, in partnership with Meiji Yasuda Seimei J.League. The series capture the best sporting moments from J.League’s 2021-2022 seasons, featuring official match footage to bring fans closer to the sport they love.
The first collection contains thrilling moments and the best goals from each J.League club during the 2021 season, including the impressive bicycle kick from the league’s reigning most-valued-player, Leandro Damian of Kawasaki Frontale, against Shonan Bellmare. This limited collection includes three tiers – Legend, Super Rare and Rare – and showcases clips of match footage alongside dynamic data graphics. The series will be available on DAZN MOMENTS from today, 24 March 2022.
The second J.League NFT series, featuring highlights from rounds 1-16 of the 2022 season, will be available from 6 April 2022. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the J.League players and clubs.
