Partnership provides new additional streaming option for local sports fans throughout the DMV region
WASHINGTON, D.C., 25 August 2026 — Monumental Sports Network (MNMT) and global sports entertainment platform DAZN, today announced they have entered into a new agreement that will make Monumental+ (M+) – MNMT’s state-of-the-art app – available as a subscription through DAZN, further expanding access to the network’s live games, original programming, and D.C.-focused sports coverage.
The agreement with DAZN represents another step in MNMT’s ongoing strategy to meet fans wherever they choose to watch, giving fans another convenient platform to access MNMT programming through their M+ subscription. Through DAZN, M+ will further expand fans’ access to its content while maintaining its strong presence across traditional television providers, streaming platforms and direct-to-consumer offerings.
“Monumental Sports Network has incredible reach across the DMV, and we continue to pursue opportunities that engage fans wherever and however they choose to watch,” said Zach Leonsis, President of Media and New Enterprises for Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE). “DAZN has built a highly innovative global sports entertainment platform and offers an extensive portfolio of premium sports content. We’re pleased to give fans another way to watch our live games and other programming.”
“Monumental Sports Network has created a compelling local sports offering, and DAZN is delighted to partner with them to expand its reach,” said Shay Segev, CEO of DAZN Group. “As we continue to grow our portfolio of premium US sports content – from NFL Game Pass and NHL.tv to live games from leading NBA, MLB, and NHL teams – partnerships such as this highlight the benefits of DAZN’s built-for-sport platform for rights holders, ensuring fans have more ways to access the sports they love.”
DAZN delivers premium live and on-demand sports content to fans around the globe, as part of a broad ecosystem of innovative products and features. On DAZN, users can stream their favorite sports, catch up on highlights, chat with sport stars and other fans in real-time, play games, participate in polls and quizzes, track scores, and stay up to date with the latest results and news.
MNMT will join DAZN’s extensive portfolio of premium sports programming, which already includes NFL Game Pass and NHL.tv available internationally, as well as content from leading NBA, MLB, and NHL teams, alongside boxing, soccer, motorsport, basketball and more.
DAZN recently strengthened its proposition to rights holders in the US by completing its acquisition of ViewLift, a leading provider of direct-to-consumer streaming and digital solutions to major US sports teams, leagues and networks. The acquisition means DAZN will extend its platform into a flexible B2B2C and SaaS model, supporting leagues and teams that wish to maintain their own direct-to-consumer products while benefiting from DAZN’s global reach, infrastructure and integrated ecosystem. M+ is powered by ViewLift technology, building on a nearly decade-long business relationship between the two companies. Ted Leonsis, Founder, Chairman, Managing Partner and CEO of MSE, previously served as Founder and Chairman of ViewLift.
Monumental Sports Network is available in millions of homes throughout its telecast footprint—which stretches south of Richmond, Virginia, and as far north as Delaware. In addition to exclusive coverage of the NHL’s Washington Capitals, NBA’s Washington Wizards and WNBA’s Washington Mystics, MNMT serves as the local television home of the NBA G League’s Capital City Go-Go and features a comprehensive lineup of original programming, behind-the-scenes content, collegiate athletics, high school sports, esports and other live events.
The network earned a record 14 Capital Emmy Awards earlier this year, including the prestigious honors for Overall Excellence and Sports Excellence, recognizing MNMT’s leadership in sports television and production.
