DAZN THE NEW HOME OF LIGUE 1 McDONALD’S IN FRANCE WITH LANDMARK DEAL TO BROADCAST ALL MATCHES

 

London/Paris, 1 August 2024 – DAZN, the world’s leading sports streaming platform, today announced that it has acquired exclusive live rights, replay, near live highlights and clips to Ligue 1 McDonald’s for the next five seasons.

DAZN will become the new home of Ligue 1 McDonald’s football in France, offering French fans all 306 matches in one place: eight Ligue 1 McDonald’s matches live and exclusively, on all kick-off times on Friday, Saturday and Sunday – the Saturday 17:00 match will be available on delayed basis from 00:00 the same night.

DAZN has secured exclusive rights to the 10 top matches of the season, which will include the biggest clashes. For example, Paris Saint-Germain FC vs Olympique de Marseille, and Olympique Lyonnais vs AS Saint-Etienne and many more.

In addition, DAZN has acquired an extensive package of near live and highlight clips further enriching fans’ viewing experience beyond the 90 minutes.

DAZN’s compelling offer to the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) is to use the platform’s digital capabilities, production excellence and marketing expertise to help grow Ligue 1 McDonalds’s reach and popularity. DAZN’s world-leading technology and culture of innovation is already delivering for some of the biggest and most iconic rights holders in sport, helping drive growth and deliver new ways to excite and engage fans.

DAZN will be working closely with the LFP and their member clubs, using the platforms commercial and social capabilities to create a fan-focused proposition, FanZone, that provides them with the opportunity to watch, play, buy and share all in one dedicated Ligue 1 McDonald’s space on DAZN. FanZone has already been successfully rolled out in other European markets, and is delivering a unique and enhanced experience, bringing fan participation into the broadcast as well as offering ticketing and merchandise options. And the most comprehensive stats and scores service available in world sport is coming soon.
