LONDON, 15 October 2026 – DAZN, the world’s leading sports entertainment platform, and Guardians League, the new professional franchise surf racing series, today announced a multi-year global broadcast partnership that will bring Guardians League events live and free to fans around the world.

Beginning with the inaugural Guardians League Oceania Tour in November and December 2027, Guardians League will be available free-to-view on DAZN globally, excluding Australia, New Zealand and China. The partnership will continue into 2028 and encompasses Guardians League’s planned expansion into the USA and Americas, giving the new series a global distribution platform from its first season.

The sport is poised to explode, with Guardians League reimagining surf racing as a professional franchise sport, alongside surf lifesaving’s bid for inclusion in the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games’ programme.

Launching across Australia and New Zealand in 2027 with six city-based franchises, each fielding four male and four female athletes, Guardians League unites world-class athletes from swimming, athletics, kayak and surf lifesaving in a single team. The format is designed to entertain, bringing fast‑paced, head-to-head competition to stunning coastlines around the world.

Alongside live event coverage, DAZN will distribute a range of additional Guardians League content designed to introduce surf racing to new audiences and bring fans closer to its athletes, teams and destinations. The content will showcase the personalities, skills and stories behind the league while helping audiences discover unique coastal cultures worldwide.

Shay Segev, CEO of DAZN Group, said:

“DAZN brings fans the most compelling sports from around the world, and Guardians League is an exciting new addition to our global content portfolio. Its innovative format, world-class athletes and spectacular coastal settings have all the ingredients to attract a new generation of fans. By making Guardians League available free-to-view on DAZN’s innovative platform, we can introduce surf racing to a global audience and support the series’ growth from day one.”

Adrian Tobin, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Guardians League, said:

“DAZN is the ideal global platform to help us introduce Guardians League and the incredible sport of surf racing to the world. We are creating Guardians League around a simple idea: take some of the world’s best athletes and let them battle it out in one of the most exciting and unpredictable sporting environments on the planet – the surf. For the first time, fans will see global stars from swimming, athletics, kayak and surf lifesaving join forces to represent iconic coastal cities. The ocean provides the arena, but the athletes, teams, rivalries and coastal communities will provide the stories that we believe can build a passionate global fan base.

“From the outset, our priority has been to make Guardians League as accessible as possible. Having the competition available free-to-view through DAZN internationally is hugely important. It gives us the opportunity not simply to broadcast Guardians League, but to introduce surf racing and showcase our amazing host beaches to millions of potential new fans. Having a global partner of DAZN’s scale alongside us from the beginning is an important part of the Guardians League ambition.”
